Our GangThe return of Tony Soprano.
Posted Friday, March 2, 2001, at 8:30 PM ETThe third season of The Sopranos premieres Sunday on HBO. Last year, Judith Shulevitz and Jeffrey Goldberg discussed what makes the series different from other TV shows and movies about the Mafia. "It's about the little moments of anomie in the daily routine," Shulevitz wrote, "underscored by cheerful violence and Tarantino-esque riffing. It's about teen anorexia and preteen rapster attitudinizing and brand-name chitchat and unbearable self-loathing and intergenerational weirdness." To read "The TV Club," click here.
