Hitchens v. Blumenthal, Part 7

A couple of sharp-eyed readers have pointed out to Chatterbox that the D.C. journalists' shield law probably wouldn't be of much use to Chris Hitchens if he carried out his threat to be uncooperative in a Sid Blumenthal perjury trial. (See "Hitchens v. Blumenthal, Part 6," in which Chatterbox theorized that it might be.) The reason is that Blumenthal would likely be tried not in D.C. court, but in federal court (since the alleged perjury would have occurred in a congressional proceeding). Sorry, Hitch.
