"A Deeper Sense of Siege," reads the headline atop R.W. Apple Jr.'s May 28 "News Analysis" of the Supreme Court's decision in the Paula Jones case.

Then, 16 paragraphs down, the New York Timesman writes: "Inevitably, the Jones case ... plays into a public perception of a White House under siege."



Now, where in the world would such a perception come from?
