Two American Cats
I have two cats at home, one is named Bella; I didn't pick the name, my son did.I didn't like it at first, because it reminded meof what the old lady face of Bella Abzug... used to be.Now the name Bella just reminds me of Bella, our cat.Bella is black, as a matter of fack! With a little dab of white on her chest,And that little dab will have to do ...

Re: Claptrap? Really?
That's just it, though: you say you wish more scientific-journal articles featured subjects that are ''outside our current realm of explanation'', but the problem with this article is that it made no attempt to figure out whether the cat is outside that realm or not. Instead it simply ran with the idea that the cat can sense death and turned it ...

It's no great feat ...
Verifiable, reproduceable or debunked, it does not seem a great feat to me that a cat can detect death in a human being. We've had animals sense things about us forever. Most commonly, animals can sense fear in a human, which is also when they are most liable to attack. They follow the old natural rule that the only creature I need to be ...

What a Grouch
What a small person you sound like. It’s just a fun story, Mr. Scrooge. You try to spoil it for everyone but you aren’t telling us anything new or making any discernible point. You just seem to have an ax to grind over the one-cycle popularity of a cat story. Do you resent it as a piece of pseudo-scientific rubbish? You don’t say so (and can’t, ...

Re: Oscar the Cat
MrsJackson, Bravo!!! I didn't go into it in my earlier post, but several of my cats have done things such as this, acting strange walking around nervously, being a lot more vocal than usual, to let me know of impending storms, unfortunately a couple of deaths of other beloved pets. Several years back, my kidneys failed me, the months leading up to ...

Oscar the Cat
Please give credit were credit might possibly be due. I have had cats and dogs all of my life and realize how ''special'' some of them can be. I am older now and my remaining cat has been with me for fourteen years. She gives me my space and I hers. However, when I am feeling ''under the weather'', she lays as close to me as she possibly can. ...

Oscar "the grim-re-purr" :]
I do believe that cats, dogs, and other animals can sense when people are dying or when someone is sick. I think that Oscar does know when people are dying, cats may have good senses, but i dont think they've got the senses to smell organs and what not that detect when someone is passing away. I think they just know and can feel pain from the ...

Doctor's hate inexplicable stories
Somehow, Oscar the Cat diminishes their authority, knowledge and ability to explain. As high priests of modern technology, they simply cannot let this kitty tale go. ebc

Cat
Several years ago a stray gray tabby became a member of our home. My husband,( who is not a cat person) became very ill. ''GRAY CAT'' stayed with him in bed, for two weeks ,until he recovered. It was if she knew he needed the company.
