Terrorist Trial - Maybe I am cruel but...
by marylb

If they are found guilty they will probably take the place of pedophiles as the most hated people in prison. That being the case, I hope they do not get the death penalty. I hope they are placed in the prison and have to fight to survive knowing what will happen but not knowing when. Include all the near-misses and knowing they are scared shitless seems a worthy way for them to suffer until someone ends it. I want them to repetitively feel for years what 3,000 people felt in an hour of horror.

As wrong as that may seem even to me, it is what I feel. I was haunted by the infant flying with her daddy for the first time and the little girl who won the trip by doing good in school. I was destroyed by the buildings collapsing. I just don't care. I want them to pay slowly.

I want them to pay slowly too. But I wonder if now they will get their freedom on a technicality and be sent to the Bahamas to live in a nice condo for their own protection. That's how things like this seem to turn out when the people in charge are afraid to utter the word "terrorist".

These guy's are on the fast track to execution. I don't support the death penalty. Life without parole in Gen Pop works for me.

& Isn't it funny that both YOU & I will looking to Convicts to help us get a feeling of justice. Now that is truely Ironic & says a lot about both of us & how some things are ingrained into us.

If they go to prison they will be isolated and kept safe, just like the "Blind Sheik", not put in with the general population. They will get free television, halal food, and an hour in the sunshine everyday. Even if they are executed (unlikely), they will be put to sleep painlessly. Had they been tried by the military, they would have been hung, which is the proper treatment for criminals of this magnatude.

You really have to be of extremly low intelligence to even entertain such an ignorant thought.

They have evidence or charges would not have been drawn. I suspect we would never hear what was gained by torture. They would not have resorted to torture for a trial. The information they would have wanted would be sensitive information none of us would know about and won't know until many years have passed.

execution?
what trials, there will be no trial.......

what you are getting is a circus for the mob, nothing more. For it to be a trial there has to be a possiblity of acquittal and freedom for the accused, that does not exsist here.......

I believe it's the wrong way to go about this. It paints a bulls eye on NYC and I am afraid of that technicality that will get them off (I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm right, I WILL be saying "I told you so" down the road). At the very least, it will be a circus that will embolden the fanatics of the ME to "do it again".

That is just one more thing that the failed Bush administration should have tied up and finished with before it moved on. So I blame Bush for this. Of course what is about to happen is how a Democrat would deal with this. It's the way they do things.......... Bush should have realized this and taken care of it. But he never was one with much foresight.

They have to do it, in order to keep us under the illusion of freedom & protection & rights

What "technicality" ?
by ann---

The evidence they have before your boy tortured them is what will get the conviction. The torture technicality is taken care of.

It is odd but true. Even I know my wishes are cruel. Prisoners have the same sense of outrage in these horrific crimes but they don't go by the book.

They will absolutely be executed if found guilty but I have my dream. I can't find a redeeming argument for them other than they deserve what they get and that isn't said nicely. I am against the death penalty as well but in the case of this scope I don't care anymore then they cared X times 3,000. I consider them dead men walking.

I respect your feelings & thought on this.

No better place than New York. No better show of justice and bravery. That is the beautiful part of this whole thing. New York has her say.
