Replacing Dobbs at CNN...
by Phoen-X

If we could vote on it my first choice would be Ron Reagan, with Montel coming in at a close second.

I like John King. Even if MA thinks he has no personality. I believe our talking heads have entirely too damned much personality.. and not nearly enough smarts or preparation.

Jack Cafferty is semi-retired, but he could do the job well if he would. I dount he would.. he seems to enjoys his role' as CNN resident curmudgen.

Jack Cafferty would be unbearable for an hour.It is impossible to listen to him for a few minutes.

John King has made too many mistakes for him to be objective. Of course I seldom watch any of them. A good book is better or CSpan when they have a good objective guest.

I must sure get under your skin,Shep. You cannot make a post without including my name.

No, dearie. I simply adore letting the air out of over-inflated Ft.Collins balloon-boy-type balloons... who keep insisting that they are fairminded Independents but then defend that vicvious, misogynistic, over-opinionated and under-informed, filthy-mouthed Nazi Monster TurdBlossom TickleBob.

Hey, ducks. You occasionally make my day.. just like SeaSoldier did before he went insane.

Lou Dobbs: Requiem for a Dream So Lou Dobbs has been sent to a nice farm upstate, where he will be free to run and jump and play and practice advocacy journalism. Mostly, this news has been greeted with some combination of snark, ennui, and unbridled schadenfreudic delight. Below, some assorted reactions to the news, mostly via Twitter: The Onion: BREAKING: Lou Dobbs Deported From U.S. -- CNN Host Living Illegally In Country Since 1961" JC Christian: “Lou Dobbs resigns after CNN refuses to build wall around his anchor desk.” Rolling Stone’s Will Dana: “Now that Lou Dobbs is looking for work, too bad John Hughes isn't around to cast him as a pompous, power-crazed high school principal.” TPM’s Eric Kleefeld: “Lou Dobbs leaving CNN, will be replaced by lower-paid anchorman from Mexico.” James Poniewozik: “Lou Dobbs Gets Off Of CNN's Lawn” Matt Cooper: “All those CNN correspondents who had to appear on his show and say, "That's right, Lou" will now detail their hostage ordeals.” CNN writer/producer Jack Gray: “Long day. I'm so tired I don't even have the energy to steal pieces of the Lou Dobbs set & put them on eBay.” http://www.cjr.org/the_kicker/
