It was released today that the Big Five insurance company's spend $.84 of every dollar they collect in premiums on actual health care, and that the the "group rate" the individual paying their own insurance, get only $.80 on the dollar spend on healthcare....In Medicare & medicaid?? $.98 of every dollar goes directly to paying for health care! Where does the majority of that money you pay for your health care premiums go?? A large part goes to pay for CEO's "compensation" and the rest?? Goes to make sure as little as possible is spent on paying health care claims! Joe Lieberman...you should be ashamed of yourself..but you won't be!

BUT, medicare and medicaid often reimburse hospitals and doctors LESS than it costs to treat patients - and you can't keep operating at a loss. I'd bet you wouldn't work too long at your job if you had to pay your company more than they paid you.
