The standards are entirely different.

Take the standard for lethal force. Far less burdensome for military to justify a shooting overseas in a war zone, compared to a cop on the street, right?

The same standard applies to evidence of a terrorist plot. The mere possession of bombmaking equipment is enough for a military trial or long period of detention. The same standard applied in a U.S. criminal court would never occur.

Standards are different, that's my whole point, which it seems other people are grasping quite readily.
