House GOP Starts to Embrace the Planned Parenthood Sting

My big point about the Live Action sting of Planned Parenthood -- which has stayed in the news, obviously -- is that it won't have the political impact of the ACORN sting. That's true for a number of reasons. But it's worth noting that Republicans who are trying to move anti-abortion legislation have grabbed the tapes with both hands.  Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind. used floor time yesterday to promote the tapes.

And tomorrow, Lila Rose -- president of Live Action, the public face of the stings* -- is joining Pence for a press conference on his Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act. It was in the works before the video, but Pence is promoting it with Live Action's juice. (Also scheduled for the presser: Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-OH), Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO), Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC), Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle (R-NY), Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD).)

*Actors performed the actual sting, not Rose, which makes sense given her celebrity.
