Jim Geraghty points to the commercial , paid for by the state Conservative Party, which capitalizes on Lazio's -2 poll surge since sinking his teeth into the mosque issue.

Classic distortion at work here, from the unsourced painting the imam as a terrorist to the question of where his money is coming from -- the reality being that there's not much money coming in at all. And more evidence that our long, polite embargo on 9/11 footage is over. (In this case it's used to demonstrate that "New Yorkers have been through enough," which could be an argument for literally anything.)
