Shark Tank judge Barbara Corcoran has known Donald Trump for decades—they came up in the New York real estate scene together. She says the only time she was ever alone in a room with him, he used the opportunity to make a comment about her breasts.
“I was pregnant with my first child at the time, and so was his second wife,” Corcoran told CNN’s Erin Burnett on Thursday, referring to Marla Maples. “And he compared my breast size to his wife by putting his hands in the air, telling me how large. I was in a business meeting! I was, like, shocked.” Maples was pregnant with Tiffany Trump in 1993.
Corcoran affirmed that she “very much” believes the more than a dozen women who’ve accused Donald Trump of sexual assault. “I just think it’s preposterous that he’s claiming he’s done nothing like that—I mean, he’s been that way always,” she said.
Though the incident pales in comparison to the sexual assault allegations levied against Trump in recent weeks, Corcoran noted, had she been in a different stage of life, it could have been a lot worse: “I did think afterward, ‘How would I have felt if I had been a young woman, not a successful businesswoman, and been in a situation like that?’ I would have felt very compromised.”
Trump and Corcoran have battled each other in court and made real estate deals together. Last month, the Shark Tank star cast doubt on Trump’s capacity to govern a nation. “I couldn’t imagine anyone who would be a less effective leader,” she said. “I think leadership has everything to do with integrity. I think it has to do with teaching people to aspire. I think at the core of leadership, you have to get everyone on the same team to move the ball ahead. … And I think in all those categories, he has to come back as a different person.
