Only two things remotely surprised me about this Village Voice article , the latest entry into the tired “Women, stop being so picky or you’ll end up alone” genre: That the author failed to drop a Bridget Jones cliche in among the Carrie Bradshaw, Eat Pray Love , and Lori Gottlieb references in her essay from this week’s issue, and that the alt-weekly’s editors thought the concept new or interesting enough to merit a cover story.
