- Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina are all over the headlines for winning yesterday’s primaries in California. Outside the spotlight, a woman some are calling “the female Barack Obama claimed the Democratic nomination for attorney general . If she wins again in November, Kamala Harris would be the first woman to hold the position in the state. [ LA Times , The Daily Beast ]

-A noisy group of disability advocates, some in wheelchairs, protested while House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke at a Campaign for America’s Future event. Pelosi refused to leave the stage, literally shouting her speech over the din while surrounded by a ring of bodyguards. [ Washington Post ]

-Women in Iowa can now obtain abortions through “telemedicine, ” technology allowing doctors to consult with patients and administer drugs via videoconference. Abortion advocates say telemedicine allows women in rural areas to obtain the care they need; opponents protest that the technology will make abortion more widespread. [ New York Times ]

- DoubleX editor Jessica Grose warned last week that Kate Middleton should prepare for royal scrutiny if she marries Prince William . The couple still isn’t engaged, and insiders say the couple is holding off because William isn’t happy about his girlfriend’s relationship with the paparazzi. [ The Daily Beast ]
