Sean Spicer, the RNC's communications director, noticed a video clip that had started to permeate the far reaches of the internet. Here's the short version, as embedded at the Gateway Pundit. As you can see, a "gun rights supporter" leans in to talk to Rhode Island state Sen. Josh Miller.*

"The Second Amendment shall not be infringed," he says. "You people need to understand that."

"Go fuck yourself," snaps Miller.

The insulted man, according to Gateway Pundit, is "Second Amendment activist Dan Bidondi." He links to another site that refers to Bidondi only as a "gun rights supporter."

Well, that he is. He is also, as anyone with a working browser might discover, a correspondent for the conspiracy site Infowars. (You can see the site's logo on his mic.) Bidondi previously found a national audience when he showed up at reports on the search for Boston Marathan bombers and yelled out questions concerning whether the attack was a "false flag."

Bidondi made the rounds during that media frenzy; at one point he crashed a CNN broadcast by walking behind the live set and yelling through a bullhorn about Infowars coverage.

And in his apology (yes, the RNC got on this story after the apology cycle), Miller accused Bidondi of "berating" people at the gun event in the capitol. A longer version of the incident seems to back that up. So, sure, First Amendment, Voltaire, and all of that, but Bidondi might not be the ideal paladin of Second Amendment rights.
