Mitch McConnell’s Impressionist Campaign Video Will Restore Your Faith in America

Last night, Mitch McConnell’s Senate campaign released one of the oddest campaign videos in recent memory. It contains, as you will see, no dialogue, no explicit reasons for electing McConnell again. It’s just a bunch of footage of the senator being friendly, soundtracked to something that sounds like an unholy merger of Imagine Dragons and Sigur Rós. What explains this? I think ThinkProgress’s Judd Legum got it right, immediately. The footage now lives on YouTube, where it can be grabbed by super PACs that need B-roll of the senator.
