White House Pays Tribute to The West Wing to Temporarily Distract From Its Unpopularity

There are two mysteries that govern this video release from the White House. One: Why? Two: Why release it on a Friday afternoon, rather than dropping it in the morning and distracting the generation of reporters and staffers who grew up on Aaron Sorkin's idealistic walk-and-talk drama?

Best theory I can come up with is that the concept has been revived, and made real, in order to fool Edward Snowden into thinking he can get an audience with the administration. Once he walks in that door, on go the plastic cuffs.
