Day of Conservative Triumph on Obamacare Ends in Orgy of Shade-Throwing

It took a few hours, but Ted Cruz and Mike Lee responded to the House Republicans’ decision to embed Obamacare defunding into the continuing resolution.

Harry Reid will no doubt try to strip the defund language from the continuing resolution, and right now he likely has the votes to do so. At that point, House Republicans must stand firm, hold their ground, and continue to listen to the American people.

Hang on, where’d that come from? Is Cruz seeing through the cynical Republican plan to prove that the conservatives never actually had the votes to defund Obamacare? The first comment from a member of Congress appears to be Rep. Sean Duffy’s:

House Republicans have stood firm. We have voted to defund, repeal & delay #Obamacare dozens of times. It is time for Sens. Cruz & Lee to show they can hold the line against Senate Democrats. Let’s hope they do not surrender before the fight even begins.  Can Americans count on Sens. Cruz & Lee to join us?

This is a little ridiculous, as they’re fighting over the credit for something that hasn’t happened, and arguing over who’s responsible when it doesn’t happen.
