Starting tomorrow, and continuing until June 10, I'll be mostly absent from this blog. For the better part of two weeks I'll be on vacation, visiting and then touring with beloved former Slatester Chris Beam. In the meantime, Slate's Emma Roller will be keeping up this blog and covering politics. From time to time, other Slate writers will also appear in this space. I'll occasionally tweet here, but Internet access will be limited during my first lengthy vacation since George W. Bush's first term -- and that's a very good thing.

Too bad it’s almost certainly unconstitutional.
