MT. PLEASANT, S.C.—My longish take on Mark Sanford’s leave-no-hand-un-shook campaign is up now, reported from the American Idol party in Beaufort to the sprawl of North Charleston. Sanford’s strategy: Do at least 10 campaign stops per day in the final stretch, talk to everyone, and small-talk even those whose occupations are mysterious.
My friend Chris Moody, who shares my ocular focus on weirdness, reported from a few different hours on the Sanford trail.
