Tsarnaev Gets Mirandized After All

The New York Times has posted the transcript of the initial hearing, which took place in the Boston bombing suspect’s hospital room. He uttered one word—“no”—when asked whether he could afford a lawyer. Three other times he nodded his head, as when Magistrate Judge Marianne Bowler read Tsarnaev his Miranda rights and asked whether he “understood everything I have said.”
