It’s interesting that Huntsman would do this in the American Conservative, founded by Pat Buchanan, and a redoubt of the realist, paleo right, but maybe it’s unsurprising—the magazine ran some of Huntsman’s best 2011 coverage, from a cover story by Michael Brendan Dougherty to frequent attaboys for his foreign policy talk. I guess I’m saying this is a big deal for Jon Huntsman but for very, very few other Republicans.
