My new piece makes a very #slatepitch-ish case that this August, with its back-and-forths about who's lying about tax and welfare policy, is turning out to be a seriously substantive stretch of campaigning.

Have I made the same argument multiple times in different ways? I think so. But what's new this month is a sort of campaign attack that it immune to PolitiFactCheckFourPinnochios type debunking -- and that's good!
