Some House Republicans apparently got caught up in the confusion and hysteria swirling around the Supreme Court’s ruling upholding the Affordable Care Act this morning. Maybe it was because CNN and Fox News reported falsely that the individual mandate had been struck down – which produced the great homage (above) to Harry Truman, who in 1948 held up a newspaper that read “Dewey Defeats Truman” after he actually eked out a narrow win. Or maybe they could just smell blood in the water.
