Atlas Needs a Hug

My new piece, conveniently published before people care about health care and only health care, looks at some fascinating recent arguments from Mitch McConnell and the represents of giant Tea Party/conservative groups. Now that very wealthy people and corporations are opening wallets to conservative and liberal Super PACs, and that critics want to talk about who the donors are, McConnell et al argue that disclosure – things that might let you make a more informed decision about a candidate, or figure out later whether a candidate is paying back a donor – is a calumny against the First Amendment.
