Gary Johnson Wins 2012 Libertarian Presidential Nomination

Five short months after quitting the Republican race, former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson easily won the Libertarian Party’s presidential nomination, with more than two-thirds of the convention vote. It was the first blow-out like this since 2000, when Harry Browne walked into his second consecutive nomination.

“I want to make a pledge to all of you,” said the victorious Johnson, who had none of Bob Barr’s or Ron Paul’s problems winning over the party’s activist base. “None of you are going to regret what happened here today.”

Right now, it feels like you could use a full-length interview with Johnson conducted last week. Lucky you! Here it is.
