Matt Comer scoops the simple, powerful North Carolina ad that Billy Graham has approved for the "Yes on Amendment One" campaign -- the struggle to ban all legal unions except traditional marriage.
There are times when an old pol or celebrity has mostly checked out but has his image appropriated anyway. This doesn't look like one of those cases. Graham, from all reports, is on oxygen therapy but still working on a book -- i.e., he's still sharp. He's also framing the amendment as 1) merely a reaffirmation of what marriage means (it isn't, as it ends benefits for straight civil partnerships, too) and 2) what the Bible wants us to have.
Ah, well. It's more convincing than this endorsement.
