Roger Stone, the deathless Republican consultant and trickster, tweets his solidarity with Trayvon Martin and his justice-seekers.
What’s going on? Stone follows up and calls himself a Lincoln Republican. An alternate, not necessarily competing theory: Stone helped out Al Sharpton in his 2004 presidential campaign (you forgot about that, didn’t you?), and Sharpton is taking point on a rally raising more awareness of the case.
If you’ve been missing Emily Bazelon’s great writing on “Stand Your Ground” and Trayvon, correct that.
