No. Sorry, it’s a fun story. But the victory of Rep. Marcy Kaptur, D-Ohio, in yesterday’s primary for the state’s new 9th district, probably closes off the possibility that the amazingly-still-sort-of-famous Sam Wurzelbacher will become a Congressman. Why? The new 9th, according to the Cook Political report, contains an electorate that gave around 65 percent of the vote to Barack Obama in 2008; he only won the state of Ohio with 51 percent of the vote. And Wurzelbacher is from the Toledo area, Lucas County, which means he’s from Kaptur’s turf and has no particular pull with the Cleveland-area part of the district.
