A Heat-Seeking Missile Named John Sununu

The problem: Former Sen. Mike DeWine, now Ohio’s attorney general, switches from a Mitt Romney endorser to a Rick Santorum endorser. The additional problem: DeWine will endorse Santorum at 2 p.m. CT on a holiday weekend (President’s Day is a holiday, really), sucking up the news cycle like some pro-life anteater. The solution: Schedule a press call with John Sununu, the former governor of New Hampshire, speaking as the lead surrogate. For a call about Ohio. Reporters from Politico and the Weekly Standard, respectively, tweet about how it worked.
