My new piece looks at Rick Santorum's extremely measured reaction to Washington's new gay marriage law as a part of his 2.0 persona: The guy who doesn't jump on every culture war bend and turn. Benjy Sarlin had a similar piece last month, but the politically important piece of this is Santorum's decision not to give poor families advice -- like how it's not the worst thing in the world to struggle -- as he talks about America's moral renaissance.
