Newt Cares About the Children

COUNCIL BLUFFS – I’m here following Newt Gingrich on his pre-New Years “Jobs and Growth” tour, and will keep reporting from Iowa at a steady clip. It’s impossible to cover Gingrich without noticing what Paul Blumenthal notices; He is being buried by fairly rote negative ads from Super PACs.
Gingrich describes the threat of attack ads as a threat, quite literally, to the children who will inherit the country. “Watch one of these negative ads with your grandchildren,” said Gingrich last night in Shenandoh, Iowa. “See if you’re proud of them.”
