Flashback: When Gingrich Tried to Censure Barney Frank

Another one from the video vault: The 1990 floor speech from Newt Gingrich, who was then the minority leader of a House GOP and the slayer of Speaker Jim Wright, asking for Barney Frank to be censured for fixing parket tickets racked up by an aide. The reason this went nuclear, of course, was that the aide turned out to be a male prostitute.

By a mostly partisan 287-141 vote, the House rejected censure. By a 408-18
