Clicking around on Big Government, I see this web ad: Click through it, and you get a donation page and a video from Breitbart, telling you why you should donate to the scourge of Republican incumbents and RINOs. “Club for Growth Action,” says Breitbart. “It’s the place to go if you want to win the election. It’s the place to go if you want to beat Big Government.” “He spoke at our annual conference last year,” said Club spokesman Barney Keller, by way of explaining the Breitbart partnership. Keller wouldn’t say more about how the ad came to be. Meanwhile, I’m wondering if there are any examples of liberal magazine editors/pundits pitching for donations to candidates. James Carville and Paul Begala do a lot of it, sure, but that’s not a perfect comparison.
