Public Policy Polling comes back from the field with a poll of 750 GOP primary voters in South Carolina. The trendlines, from June:
Rick Perry - 36% (+36)
Mitt Romney - 16% (-14)
Michele Bachmann - 13% (+0)
Herman Cain - 9% (-6)
Newt Gingrich - 8% (-7)
Ron Paul - 5% (-5)
Rick Santorum - 4% (+4)
Jon Huntsman - 2% (+0)
No surprise there, although that “Gingrich surge” is getting tough to detect.
