The brightest electoral dot on the map for Democrats this fall* will probably be Kentucky, where Gov. Steve Beshear is easily outpacing his Republican opponent. How’s he doing it, considering unemployment is even higher there (9.6 percent) than it is nationally?
Cutting government employees: Bad for job growth figures, good for TV.
