DES MOINES – As Mitt Romney worked his way though the varied industries building here at the state fair, his campaign photographer pointed out the scene to his left. Three people were in a state of pure relaxation in massage chairs. So Romney walked over to meet them.
“I could take a photo of this and blackmail you!” said Romney as he shook the tender hand of Jeff Gredesy. For the record, I will not blackmail Romney with this photo.
Romney’s tour of the fairgrounds was otherwise without incident. He enjoyed a pork chop on a stick, telling anyone who saw him with it: “Pork chop on a stick. Doesn’t get better than that!” He was many paces ahead of Newt Gingrich, who showed up with his wife Callista and a much smaller following. (I had to clue in two people as to the identity of the man with the white hair and the boom mic.)
