The leading conservative in the Gang of Six, the bearer of such hope in the Senate, joined Republican sponsors of Cut, Cap, and Balance today to say they’ve got the best shot of saving American from default.
“It’s the only bill that has passed the House,” said Coburn. “It has a chance of meeting the August 2nd deadline. There are other ideas out there. The gang of six wasn’t intended to be tied to the debt limit. There’s no way it can be tied to the debt limit before August 2nd. This is our opportunity.”
