I’d been a little worried than this take on the uselessness of Congress returning to “deal with” the debt emergency was too pessimistic. Not so! Harry Reid has announced that the vote on the non-binding “shared sacrifice” resolution – the uselessness of which is explained here by Meredith Shiner – will be the last vote of the week.
