Having pointed out Jon Huntsman's slippage in the national Gallup poll, it's only fair that I mark his debut in the New Hampshire Suffolk University/7News poll. Bachmann rose 8 points to 11 percent; Romney rose one point to 36 percent.

With the exception of Romney and Bachmann, support for the 18 candidates tested remained in single digits. Tim Pawlenty slipped 3 points, to 2 percent, and Newt Gingrich was unchanged with 2 percent... Ron Paul has remained steady with 8 percent since early May, ranking him third overall and ahead of Palin (4 percent) and Rudy Giuliani (5 percent). Jon Huntsman gained 4 points (4 percent), ranking him ahead of Gingrich, Pawlenty and Rick Santorum (1 percent).

A few tours, a campaign launch, and a bungled debate performance from the other Man Who Would Be the Anti-Romney, and all of a sudden Huntsman is the best-performing Anti-Romney. Staging his campaign launch right after the debate -- and thus missing it -- hurt only insofar as gave Bachmann a chance to break out. But who wants to break out in June?
