We will conduct this campaign on the high road. I don’t think you need to run down someone’s reputation in order to run for the Office of President. Of course we’ll have our disagreements. That’s what campaigns are all about. But I want you to know that I respect my fellow Republican candidates.
Huntsman after that, to Jon Karl:
If you’re talking about free market health care, the kind we did in Utah, and the kind that is needed in this country, then [Romney] has little credibility. Little credibility based on the model that was created in Massachusetts.
Huntsman spokesman Tim Miller today :
“Childish language” sounds like a nod at “Obamneycare,” coined by Tim Pawlenty, who then ran away from the term like it was a question about Michele Bachmann’s fitness for high office. I for one salute Huntsman et al for not delving for stupid buzzwords, but can we stop pretending you run for president without “running down someone’s reputation?” If you think the other guy’s got a good enough reputation, you don’t run!
