Bachmann Asks Donors to Decide Whether She Should Run for President

Michele Bachmann e-mails her list with the kind of appeal that’s going to look a little silly if she just stays in the House.

I’m askingyou to stand with me once more and to play a vital role in my next race as I consider my options of running for reelection to the House or seekinghigher office,” she writes. “If you want me to continue fighting the big-government Obama agenda in the U.S. House of Representatives, please make a generousdonation of $25. If you want me to seek the Presidency, please make a donation of $50 or even $100 to let me know I can count on you.”

I’m writing you today to ask for your personal support. As I type this email, the Democratic leadership in Washington, D.C. is laying out plansto defeat me and many other Republicans in 2012. They are bound and determined to reelect Barack Obama, increase their numbers in Congress, andretake the majority.

I’veput together a quick one-question poll I’d like to ask you to take by following this link . It asks if you are satisfied withthe current field of Republican presidential candidates. Please take a moment right away to take the poll and let me know what you think.

After taking the poll, I’m askingyou to stand with me once more and to play a vital role in my next race as I consider my options of running for reelection to the House or seekinghigher office. If you want me to continue fighting the big-government Obama agenda in the U.S. House of Representatives, please make a generousdonation of $25. If you want me to seek the Presidency, please make a donation of $50 or even $100 to let me know I can count on you.

I will be making this importantdecision very soon and need to hear from you right away!

I’m reaching out to you for help because the liberal media credits me with being a conservativestalwart who routinely leads the opposition to President Obama. That’s why the most radical supporters of President Obama’s agenda are socommitted to defeating me regardless of which office I decide to seek.

After all, I not only voted against “ObamaCare” but was also the very first Member ofCongress to introduce legislation to repeal it . I introduced legislation to make permanent the Bush tax cuts because the federal governmentdoesn’t suffer from a revenue problem; it suffers from a chronic spending problem. I voted against the bailouts and refuse to support any increase inthe U.S. national debt limit whatsoever. We cannot expect our posterity to pay for the excessive spending of our generation just becausePresident Obama and his Democrat allies in Congress refuse to provide any sort of fiscal leadership.

I’m asking you to step up to the plate for me today, as I’ve beenprivileged to do for the conservative cause over in the U.S. House of Representatives. If you will spend a minute of your time now to let me know howyou feel about our current slate of Republican presidential candidates, I would appreciate it.

Please give me your important input today by takingthis one-question poll!

Again, your contribution of $25, $50, or even $100 would be a great help to my campaign and will help me decide ultimately what decisionto make very soon. I need to raise well over $10 million to advance my vision for America’s future and highlight my conservative leadership inCongress for limited government and fiscal responsibility – and ultimately ensure that we repeal Barack Obama.

To accomplish this goal, I’m relying on friends and supporterslike you to step up to the plate to help me today. I look forward to your immediate response and I thank you once more for your friendship andsupport.

Sincerely,

MicheleBachmann
