NY-26: They're Putting the Band Back Together

The 2009 special election in NY-23 presaged the GOP victories of 2010. It did so even though Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman was unable to win a three-way race with Democrat Bill Owens and Republican Dede Scozzafava. How? It coalesced conservative groups and bloggers who had never found a cause like this, and who found out how useful it was to aggregate and make news to help out the candidate.
