Inside the Bin Laden Compound

What do we know about the compound bin Laden was found and killed in? I’ll confess, I idly went along with the popular, somewhat loaded myth of Osama hiding in a cave. In 2007, James Gordon Meek busted the myth.

“In the jagged peaks of the Afghan-Pakistani border,” he wrote, “a good Bin Laden hideout typically would be a simple adobe house surrounded by a high mud-brick wall - perfect for defending a monster.”

We know that the compound bin Laden actually found was more of a fortress than a house – the wall, we find, was as thick as 18 feet. ABC News now has video.
