Get depressed and read this: Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., explaining the vouchers he got inserted into the Affordable Care Act, and how they were stripped by the budget compromise, even though there's no obvious financial upside to that.

This really is curious. Two health care measures were cut. One of them, funding for co-ops , cost $2.2 billion. This didn't cost anything on its face.
