A day after JoAnne Kloppenburg declared victory, Winnebago County has reported new numbers that give a new 40-vote edge to David Prosser. That's 40 votes out of close to 1.5 million votes.
I talked to Rep. Sean Duffy, R-Wis. about the race, before either of us knew about the new numbers.
"I don't know who's going to win in the end," said Duffy, "but there's no doubt you had public employees working incredibly hard for Kloppenburg, and you had far more motivation on that side. And look at the end result. What does that say about where Wisconsinites are at, if that's where all the motivation was but that was the vote total?"
