The Al Cardenas Era Begins

And the who-will-be-and-who-will-not-be-at-CPAC saga, possibly the most overcovered story of 2010,* continues . Tim Mak broke the news that Al Cardenas will replace David Keene atop the American Conservative Union, which manages CPAC. TPM notices that Cardenas will moderate a panel on "Winning with Minorities, Women and Independents," one of several that have irritated the boycotters. (Another, led by Muslim Republican Suhail Khan, is still scheduled to include Michael Steele.

*Seriously. What does the American Principles Project, which is leading the boycott, actually do ? Right now it's managing a website where people ostensibly conflicted about attending CPAC can rate the speakers there.
