Allen West Will Give CPAC Closing Speech

He confirms it on Twitter , ending the agony of CPAC organizers who, after giving this slot to Rush Limbaugh in 2009 and Glenn Beck in 2010, were struggling to find a replacement.

The West speech wraps up the narrative nice and neat: This is the Tea Party CPAC. That doesn't mean the Tea Party doesn't have ideological affinity with the social conservatives boycotting this year. But the social conservative groups represent an old paradigm; Tea Partiers aren't joiners (unless you count Glenn Beck University), and don't care much about movement turf wars as long as the movement is cutting spending.
