How I Voted

In the interest of disclosure, I voted in D.C. before I skipped town. I wrote in Adrian Fenty for mayor, and was surprised – maybe I shouldn’t have been – at the Fenty signs stuck outside the early voting site by boisterous supporters. And I voted to re-elect Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, because the Republican running against her, Missy Smith, is a nice person who, nonetheless, is just a stunt candidate and member of Randall Terry’s group running to get anti-abortion ads on the air. I voted Republican on most of the rest of the ballot, including Marc Morgan for Ward One city council, Nelson Rimensnyder for shadow representative, and Patrick Mara for the non-partisan school board race. For at-large city council, I voted for David Catania and wrote in Carol Schwartz.

And now you know.
