The Christine O’Donnell surge
continues
, with Farleigh-Dickenson (sad irony, it’s her alma mater) finding Chris Coons… building on his lead in the Delaware U.S. Senate race. The poll of 797 likely voters, conducted from 10/20 to 10/26, has Coons holding a 47/37 favorable unfavorable rating, and O’Donnell holding a 30/48 favorable/unfavorable rating. And the trendline:
Chris Coons (D) - 57% (+4)
Christine O’Donnell (R) - 36% (+0)
This comes after O’Donnell called Coons’s 2-point uptick in a Rasmussen poll a surge for her, and credited it to the prayers of supporters. Supporters: Stop praying!
More seriously, this is going to make for an odd election night. The Delaware race, one of the most-covered campaigns in the country, will be decided very early on election night for the Democrats. And it won’t have any relationship to the Republican routs in other states.
