Back from Vacation

I’ve returned from five days in Seattle and Vancouver. Two thought on these cities.

1) It’s a real shame we didn’t nab British Columbia before it joined the Canadian Confederation.

2) If there’s any way to relocate essential government services to Puget Sound where political journalists can cover them, I’m all ears.

A couple of interesting pieces I missed while gone:

Matt Bai tries to understand the race for U.S. Senate in Connecticut, which Democrats seem to have convinced themselves is going to fall in their column despite Dick Blumenthal’s fumble-fu.

Jim Geraghty talks to the NRA’s Chris Cox, and figures out why the organization backed Harry Reid in Nevada.
